Baby+Co. is a freestanding birth center that offers out of hospital birth services and personalized maternity care in a comfortable, intimate setting. Our Certified Nurse Midwives provide relationship based and education intensive care that prepares families for pregnancy, birth and beyond. In addition to birth services, Baby+Co. offers well-women care, breastfeeding support, and early parenting classes.



Bellies & Babies

Bellies and Babies is your home for a natural approach to staying physically comfortable during your prenatal and postpartum phases of life.  Our facility is not to be confused for a prenatal spa.  Bellies and Babies specializes in Prentatl and Postpartum Deep Tissue Massage.  This means our focus is to create space throughout the pregnant and postpartum muscles so you can enjoy these times as pain-free as possible.  If you have sore hips, achy back, tight shoulders or swelling, we are the pace for you.  Most women experience relief after their very first visit.



NoDa Yoga

NoDa Yoga, located at 908 E 35th Street in residential NoDa (right above Cabo Fish Taco), is a unique studio and serves as a community resource for health and holisticwellness for men, women, and children of all walks of Charlotte life. NoDa Yoga offers a variety of upbeat styles of yoga with a focus on Gentle Yoga, Yin Yoga, Slow Flow, and children’s classes, as well as Power, and regular Vinyasa too!

Childbirth

Nine Month Bloom - Chloe Davis of Nine Month Bloom offers experienced and compassionate birth and postpartum doula services to families in the Greater Charlotte Area. In addition to doula support, she offers placenta encapsulation and childbirth education, teaching Bradley Method classes to couples desiring an unmedicated, partner supported birth. For those interested in learning more about our local options in maternity care, she offers birth consultations to help couples wade through the many care providers and birth places our area has to offer.

Queen City Newborn Care - Megan Hendery, a Postpartum Doula, provides support with breastfeeding, infant care, placenta encapsulation, baby wearing, gentle sleep consultations and helping older siblings to transition to becoming a big brother or sister. She has a special touch with older siblings from her years of nanny work, and her years of experience in childcare working with several babies at a time makes her a natural fit for families with multiple children. She has experience working with singletons, twins, large families, single parents, adoptive parents, and same sex parents inducing lactation.

Bradely Method Natural Childbirth Class

Empowered Birth Natural Childbirth Classes

I offer private and group natural childbirth classes.  Private classes offer flexibility to meet the clients scheduling needs.  I cover proper nutrition and exercise, recognizing labor signs, stages of labor/warning signs of preterm labor, relaxation and pain relieving techniques, interventions, mechanics of childbirth, writing a birth plan, emergency birthing basics, and breastfeeding and newborn care basics.  My classes are designed to be fun, educational, supportive, and encouraging to prospective parents. Greater Charlotte Natural Birth and Parenting - a Facebook group for parents in the greater Charlotte area who are looking to get advice, share concerns, and connect with other like-minded families

 

La Leche League of North CarolinaLa Leche League meetings emphasize the joys of breastfeeding while they inform and encourage mothers who wish to nurse their babies. Mother-to-mother support is at the heart of La Leche League: getting to know other women who have breastfed their babies can be helpful and reassuring. It is also important to have accurate, up-to-date information. La Leche League Leaders guide discussion at meetings and answer questions from the group or individually. All mothers and mothers-to-be are welcome. Babies and children are welcome too!


Babywearing International of Charlotte - Welcoming seasoned babywearers, newbies, even expectant parents! Please bring your baby slings and carriers if you would like help. You will be able to try on one of many different types of carriers to see what works best for you. Daddies are welcome, too! Show/tell/share meet-ups will be approximately one day each month.We'll add babywearing walks/hikes when the weather is nice and other events at the suggestion of members.

doulas in the greater Charlotte, NC, area. Our members also serve families in surrounding areas, from Shelby to Hickory and Statesville in North Carolina, to Rock Hill and Ft. Mill in South Carolina.
